The 2022 Scholarship Season has started!
More scholarship information will continue to be added to our page throughout the month, so continue to check for more opportunities. These scholarship opportunities, and many more, can be found through

Please note that the scholarship review committee guidelines below apply only to the scholarships that are exclusively administered by SPARK.
Scholarship Review Committee Guidelines:
- No scholarship committee member shall be related to any applicant.
- Student name and school name are redacted prior to review and selection by committee.
- Scholarship awards shall be based on merit and qualifications and shall not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or disability.
- SPARK scholarship committee will utilize established rubric during the selection process.
SPARK is only a part of the selection process for the following exclusively administered scholarships:

Chick-fil-A Prince William County Scholarship (link)
This scholarship awards $4,000 to one PWCS graduating high school senior.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2022
Dr. Edward L. Kelly Scholarship (link)
$1,500 scholarship to three graduating PWCS high school seniors who intend to pursue studies to enter the teaching profession.

Lilian M. Orlich Scholarship (link)
$2,500 to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2022
Lockheed Martin Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Scholarship (link)
$1,500 to two (2) graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field. The recipients will also be eligible to apply for a Lockheed Martin paid internship opportunity.

Micron Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scholarship (link)
$1,500 to one or more graduating PWCS high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a technology, engineering, or mathematics field.

YES Scholarship (link)
This scholarship awards $5,000 to one graduating high school senior that attended Yorkshire Elementary School for at least one year.

SPARK manages the funds for the following scholarships, which are available to students at specific schools:
Applicants must attend the school associated with the scholarship to be eligible to apply. SPARK acts solely as the fiscal agent for the following scholarships and is not part of the selection process, therefore they are not exclusively administered by SPARK.
Austin Trenum Memorial Scholarship-Brentsville District High School (Download)
$1,000 to a graduating high school senior at Brentsville District High School. Please contact the Brentsville District High School counseling department for application and details or download the application by clicking the link above.

Forest Park Black Alumni Scholarship (link)
$1,500 to two Black graduating seniors in good standing at Forest Park High School. Apply online by clicking the link above.

Sara Lott Memorial Scholarship (Download)
$1,500 scholarships offered to two seniors at Forest Park High School.
Applications should be turned in tot eh Forest Park Guidance department.
Deadline: April 6, 2022
Ryan Trexel Memorial Scholarship
$3,000 to a graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School. Please contact the Osbourn Park High School counseling department for further information.
Victor A. Cahoon Scholarship- Osbourn Park High School
$5,000 to graduating high school senior at Osbourn Park High School. Please contact the Osbourn Park High School counseling department for application for further information.
The following scholarships are open to all seniors in PWCS, given they meet the scholarship’s requirements.
In some cases, SPARK acts as the fiscal agent for the following scholarships, but is not part of the selection process, therefore they are not exclusively administered by SPARK.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship (link)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who completed a VDOE approved CTE sequence of courses and plans to pursue a Professional Certification, an Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree, or an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree. This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2022
Career and Technical Education (CTE) Post-Secondary Scholarship (link)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who completed a VDOE approved CTE sequence of courses and plans to pursue a CTE plan of study at a four-year (post-secondary) institute. This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.

CTE (Career and Technical Education) Scholarship for Students Attending NOVA (link)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who completed a VDOE approved CTE sequence of courses and plans to pursue a CTE plan of study at Northern Virginia Community College, from the Lake Ridge Rotary.
This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.

David J Cobb Foundation Scholarship (Download)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who plans to pursue a degree in the medical field. Please follow the directions in the application packet for submitting.

Nursing Scholarship (CTE) (link)
$1,000 to one graduate of PWCS who participated in the Licensed Practical Nursing program and is continuing a plan of study in nursing.
This application is also hosted on Kaleidoscope but is not administered by SPARK or the SPARK scholarship review committee.

Payton's Project- Free Bullying Scholarship Application (link)
This scholarship provides up to twenty $1,000 awards to eligible high school Seniors, who intend to pursue studies at a higher learning institute, or to current higher learning institute students.

The 7x24 Exchange DC Chapter Scholarships (link)
The 7×24 Exchange DC Chapter will award several scholarships in memory of Shariar Zaimi and Jonathan Litvany. These scholarships will be provided to several students currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering program who meet the application requirements. Amazon Web Services InCommunities Scholarship (link)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is excited to offer $2,500 renewable scholarships to eligible high school seniors in your community who plan to pursue a STEM-related education.
The
AWS InCommunities Scholarship Program (PDF)
offers scholarships to high school seniors who plan to pursue science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects at higher education institutions in designated districts of California, Oregon, Ohio, and Virginia, where the company has data center operations.

Blue Wellness Foundation Scholarship (link)
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Omicron Zeta Sigma (OZS) Chapter is now accepting applications for the 2022 Omicron Zeta Sigma Chapter Scholarship. This Scholarship application is open to all young men graduating from Prince William County high schools in June 2022.
Select applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual interview process taking place on May 14, 2022.

Equinix Digital Infrastructure Scholarship (Link)
The goal of the Equinix Digital Infrastructure Scholarship is to provide the framework needed to enter the data center industry through NOVA’s Engineering Technology AAS and CSC Programs. A scholarship of up to $5,000 will be provided to new and existing students in any of the NOVA Engineering Technology programs who have completed less than 30 credit hours in that program of study. In addition, eligible students will be able to apply for a paid internship and mentorship opportunity with the possibility of starting a career within one year of graduation. Apply online.

James W. and Leila G. Freeman Scholarship (Download)
This scholarship is open to all seniors who are residents of the Northern Virginia area, and is offered by the Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association.

Multiple Scholarships from The Old Dominion (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated (link)
The scholarships are as follows:
- The Ethel L. Reaves Community Service Leadership Award ($2,500)
- The Willa and George Dumas College Scholarship ($1,500 + $500 Sustaining Scholarship)
- The Fannie W. Fitzgerald Educational Leadership Academic Scholarship Award ($1,250)
- The Wilhelmina Reuben-Cooke Distinguished Educator Academic Scholarship Award ($1,250)
- The Historically Black Colleges/Universities Scholarship – HBCU ($1,250)
Only one application is necessary from each applicant. The scholarship and amount to be awarded will be based on criteria set by the Scholarship Committee.

Prince William Chamber of Commerce: Education & Workforce Scholarship Program (link)
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program raises funds to award scholarships of $2,500. Open to high school senior students who have shown a commitment to continued education, including community college, trade school, or a university. Recipients will be presented with their awards during the Education and Workforce Summit event in April.

Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. - Dale City, Prince William Chapter
The Dale City Prince William County Chapter is proud to offer the Blue and Silver Community Service Trunk Scholarship to all graduating high school seniors in the Prince William County Community.
This scholarship will be awarded to eligible high school seniors going away to college to assist with first-time college student expenses. The trunk will include necessities needed for a student's first year in college such as bedding essentials, bathroom accessories, personal care items, household items, laundry supplies, and class supplies. This scholarship gives Dale City Prince William County Chapter an opportunity to reward scholars for demonstrating their commitment and dedication for volunteer service in the community.
Four (4) trunk scholarships will be awarded this year each with a value of over $250.
