Prince William County and Manassas have multiple food pantries where residents can get help. Here’s what to know about where to go to receive food assistance arranged by the days of the week the pantries are open.
Pantries open multiple days per week
- ACTS (or Action in Community Through Service) located at 3901 ACTS Lane in Dumfries, is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Residents are required to enroll with the nonprofit before receiving help.
- All Saints Catholic Church offers help on Tuesdays, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at 9300 Stonewall Road in Manassas.
- The East End Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 9021 Centreville Road in Manassas. Residents are asked to call ahead before picking up food at 703-221-4510. Large food distributions take place every other Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The food pantry also delivers to various Dumfries neighborhoods. - The First AME Church of Manassas provides food assistance to anyone in the greater Prince William area. Their food pantry hotline is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those 65 or older can request a home food delivery.
- The Haymarket Regional Food Bank, located at 7669 Limestone Drive in Gainesville, is open Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Help is available every week to residents of western Prince William County. Make an appointment and fill out an application online or by calling 703-754-5990 to receive help.
- Holy Family Catholic Church offers help to residents in the 22191, 22192 and 22193 ZIP codes, by appointment only on Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at 14160 Ferndale Road in Woodbridge.
- House of Mercy, located at 8150 Flannery Court in Manassas, helps twice a month, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pantry requires residents to book an appointment to receive help.
- The Northern VA Family Services Hunger Resource Center provides food assistance to families in the greater Prince William area, by registration and appointment only. Appointments for new clients can be made on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food can be picked up every Tuesday and Thursday and every other Wednesday and Friday.
- St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 1400 G St. in Woodbridge, is open on the first Saturday each month 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and on the third Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pantry serves families that live in the 22191, 22192 and 22193 ZIP codes and meet their household income requirements.
- StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries provides help as often as residents need, every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 14806 Blackburn Road in Woodbridge. Proof of current address is required to be helped.
Pantries open on Tuesdays only
- The Bull Run Unitarian Universalists Church food pantry is open the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 9350 Main St. in Manassas.
- Holiness Tabernacle Church of God in Christ offers food distribution every second Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and produce distribution every fourth Tuesday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1505 Walnut St. in Woodbridge.
- Triangle Baptist Church provides food for residents of Triangle, Dumfries and Quantico every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 4345 Inn St. in Triangle.
Pantries open on Wednesdays only
- Concordia Lutheran Church food pantry is open on Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 3637 Graham Park Road in Triangle.
- Grace Church’s Bag of Hope pantry is open every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 17100 Van Buren Road in Dumfries.
- Manassas Baptist Church’s food pantry offers help on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 8800 Sudley Road.
- Trinity Episcopal Church distributes food on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. until supplies run out.
Pantries open on weekends only
- Humanity First USA offers help at the Masroor Mosque, at 5640 Hoadly Road, in Manassas, every fourth Sunday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Assistance is based on need, and residents must complete a registration to be approved.
- Parkway Church, located at 3713 Pennington Lane in Woodbridge, offers help the fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and weekly as possible. Residents are required to provide a valid ID and proof of a current address to receive assistance.
- Praise Center Church, located at 3813 Graham Park Road in Dumfries, offers food assistance every first Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Sacred Heart Catholic Church holds its drive-thru food distribution every Saturday at 9 a.m. at 12975 Purcell Road in Manassas. Residents must provide proof of a current address to receive help.
- St. Thomas United Methodist Church's food pantry is open every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 8899 Sudley Road in Manassas.
- The Our Lady of Angels Conference Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Woodbridge holds two food distributions a month, generally on the second and fourth Saturdays, for residents of the following ZIP codes: 22191, 22192, 22193, 22079 and 22125. Located at 13744 Mary’s Way, residents are able to receive assistance once a month.
